These lessons are designed specifically for children (ages 4 - 12) to build confidence and independence. We cover everything from rod rigging and knot tying, to casting and retrieving, to ethical catch-and-release practices and local biology and ecology. We fish from piers, docks, and shorelines, so your child stays safe and engaged in a fun and focused learning environment.

Our land-based family sessions take the pressure and stress out of fishing, especially if this is your first time. We provide a guided experience at local Charleston "hot spots" where parents and kids can learn side-by-side (without any sea-sickness). These lessons are designed specifically for children (ages 4 - 12) and parents to learn the basics of fishing, have loads of fun outdoors, and spend quality time together as a family. We cover everything from rod rigging and knot tying, to casting and retrieving, to ethical catch-and-release practices and local biology and ecology. Looking to have a “reel” good time? Our Fishing Parties are hosted at local parks or piers and offer a unique and highly memorable "edutaining" experience outdoors. We set-up all the gear before the party starts and after fishing (and cake!) we provide build-your-own tackle boxes as party favors. It’s high-energy, educational, and really entertaining - is there a better way to party?

Party Prep: We will meet at the designated park or pier (est. during booking). Parents set-up tables with party supplies while we set-up fishing gear.

We are proud to partner with the Mt. Pleasant Recreation Department to offer Fishing Programs and Camps for the local community. Our Fishing Camps are immersive, multi-day experiences that offer a fun dive into the world of a LowCountry angler. These camps are designed specifically for kids (ages 5 - 10) to build confidence and independence while having fun exploring and learning about our local environment. We cover everything from rod rigging and knot tying, to casting and retrieving, to ethical catch-and-release practices and local biology and ecology. We begin with two days of in-class instruction at the Darby Building in the Old Village, followed by two days of fishing at the Mt. Pleasant Pier.
